The Kraft Group

Headquartered in Foxborough, Massachusetts, the Kraft Group is the holding company for the Kraft family’s various businesses, with concentrated interests in five areas: paper and packaging manufacturing and the distribution of forest products; sports and entertainment; real estate and development; private equity investing and philanthropy.

The paper and packaging division is comprised of the Rand-Whitney Group, International Forest Products and New-Indy Containerboard. Aggregated together, these companies would rank in the top five of all paper, packaging and distribution companies in the United States. Conducting business in more than 100 countries, the Kraft Group forms one of the largest privately-owned paper, packaging and distribution companies in the world, trading more than 4 million tons of pulp and paper grades annually.

Schwarz Partners

Based in Indianapolis, Indiana, Schwarz Partners, LP is a privately owned company with a focus on corrugated products and logistics.

The Royal Group, the packaging division of Schwarz Partners, services customers in the automotive, agriculture, industrial manufacturing and consumer goods industries throughout North America and consists of 33 locations, 12 of which are corrugated box and sheet plants. Schwarz Partners is also considered the largest producer of sheets in the U.S. with interests in 11 sheet feeder corrugator plants. Together, the sheet feeders and the corrugator box plants currently consume approximately 1.5 million tons of containerboard annually. Venture Logistics, the supply chain management company of Schwarz Partners, consists of 1,000 tractors, a brokerage division moving 2,000 loads per week and more than 1 million square feet of warehouse and cross dock space. 

 

 

 

 

A joint venture between The Kraft Group and Schwarz Partners LP was formed to establish New-Indy. The company name is derived from being the Newest Independent manufacturer and supplier of recycled containerboard in the corrugated box industry.

With over 2,000 employees from Southern California to the coasts of the Carolinas, New-Indy plays an integral role in the everyday lives of people across the country and around the world through its innovative packaging solutions to serve the needs of every customer.

New-Indy acquires Reliable Container

New-Indy acquires Reliable Container

New-Indy reached an agreement with Georgia-Pacific to acquire Reliable Container with facilities located in Santa Fe Springs, California and Tijuana, Mexico. These facilities serve a broad range of customers, producing a variety of custom corrugated containers and point of purchase displays. Reliable Container joined the New-Indy Tripaq-Group, with locations in Cerritos, California and Ontario, California, as the West Coast converting operations of New-Indy Packaging. These converting facilities align very well with the strategic integration of New-Indy Containerboard’s mill assets.

  • Shoreline is a Michigan-based paper and packaging company, comprised of two state-of-the-art facilities with a combined 400,000 square feet. These plants are outfitted with the latest in technology and equipment. Employing a staff of nearly 250 people working in multiple shifts, Shoreline is dedicated to engineering and building the best solutions for their customers’ products. Shoreline has developed national and international partnerships with suppliers that insure customers’ will receive the highest level of quality at a competitive cost.

New-Indy Acquires Proactive Packaging & Display
  • Established in 1994 in Ontario, California, Proactive has been serving Brand Marketers with award winning retail graphics tailored to their specific product merchandising needs.  Composed of 70 team members, Proactive manufactures and assembles products in a 240,000 Sq. ft. facility.  Using world-class presses, Proactive can print up to 8 vibrant colors on Foam-Cor, Gator, sintra, vinyl, wood and floor tiles.  They can also produce banners and posters for trade show booths and other various applications.  Proactive has product in club stores, groceries, home centers and many more.

New-Indy Acquires Resolute Forest Products’ Catawba Mill
  • New-Indy acquires Resolute Forest Products’ Catawba paper and pulp mill located on the Catawba River in Catawba, South Carolina. The acquisition establishes one of the most diverse and efficient mill operations in the industry with the production of existing products like market pulp, lightweight coated papers and specialty grades and new products like high-quality, virgin, ultra-lightweight linerboard.

New-Indy Acquires TriPAQ (CA)
  • New-Indy acquires TriPAQ, Inc., a second generation family owned packaging business with facilities in Santa Ana and Cerritos, CA, Mexicali, BC and Tijuana, Mexico. The acquisition provides New-Indy with an entry into the large Southern California box market and expands its footprint into Mexico with a diverse mix of custom corrugated and specialty packaging capabilities.
